SPRINGDALE, Ohio (WKRC) - Local police officers are using the old cliché about cops and donuts to raise money for Special Olympics. It's called Cops on Rooftops.
Springdale Police are on the roof of the Dunkin' Donuts at Princeton Pike and Kemper on May 18 for the Ohio Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.
Those who wish to donate don't have to climb up to the roof. They can donate in the store or in the drive-thru. Customers who donate $10 can get a stainless coffee tumbler. Other perks include a free donut or a free refill.
Springdale officers will be there until 1 p.m.
Police in Erlanger are doing the same for the Kentucky Special Olympics. They'll be at the Dunkin Donuts on Commonwealth Avenue until noon.
