Ingredients for Kerala Style Kadala Curry (Chana Curry)
Black Chickpeas 200g
Onion 150 g
Coconut/Dry Coconut (for Small square size coconut pieces)
Chopped Garlic(4 cloves) and Ginger 20 g (Total)
Green Chilli 2 Nos
Water 2 Glasses
Curry Leaves 2 Nos (Total)
Grated Coconut 4 tablespoon
Black Pepper 15 nos
Turmeric Powder Half teaspoon
Garam Masala Half teaspoon
Fennel Powder 1 teaspoon
Coriander Powder 2.5 tablespoon
Red Chilli Powder 1.5 tablespoon
Salt to Taste
For Tadka
Curry Leaves 1 Nos
Cooking Oil 2.5 tablespoon
Mustard Seeds 1 teaspoon
Dry Red Chilli 3 Nos
Please Note: I use coconut oil for most of the South Indian dishes, especially authentic Kerala recipes. However, you can use any cooking oil according to your personal choice. If there is any must use scenario, I will tell you that in the video.
