Here is how you can do this :
• Go to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network website at www.fincen.gov
• Then download the FinCEN Form 114.
• Click on the BSA e-filling system on the website.
• It will direct you to another page. Click on the amended box.
• Key in your previously assigned 14-digit BSA ID number in the BSA Identifier.
The BSA ID number is in the confirmation email FinCEN sent you.
• Fill out the FBAR form with the correct details, even the fields that did not need correction.
• Then provide a detailed explanation for your amendment in Part V of the form.
• Review the form and ensure everything is accurate, then electronically sign the form as required.
• Submit your amended FBAR through the BSA E-Filling system. You will receive a confirmation for your submission. Ensure to keep it and the original and amended FBAR.
