The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office is increasing patrols near shopping centers for the holiday season with what it calls the “Grinch Patrol.” Officials encourage shoppers to be vigilant of opportunistic thieves, park in well-lit areas and drop off their purchased items at home if they plan to spend the day shopping.
