The amount of treasure found last year in the UK was the highest since the 90s.
Treasure is the technical legal term for anything over 200 years old and containing some precious metal.
Metal Detectorist Patrick Hooper said he loves detecting treasure “because of the history”.
“You go out on a field and sometimes you find junk all day,” he said.
“But you never know, it could be one day, one signal that you could get something that changes your life forever.”
