Stellantis has stopped construction at a C$5 billion ($3.7 billion) electric-vehicle battery plant in Canada, which is being built in partnership with South Korea's LG Energy Solution (LGES). The Canadian government has increased planned Stellantis battery factory support. Stellantis is accusing Ottawa of reneging on an agreement regarding the upcoming multibillion-dollar electric vehicle battery plant in Windsor, Ont., and the automaker says action is being taken.
