The Department of Internal Medicine has hosted the Asan International Digestive Disease Symposium focusing on inflammatory bowel disease and Barrett's esophagus, which have been on the rise recently in Korea.
This year is the 4th year of the Asan International Digestive Disease Symposium. The latest information on internal medicine and a variety of medical information have been shared through renowned Korean and international speakers.
Professor Stephen B. Hanauer from the University of Chicago and Professor Michael A. Kamm from the University of Melbourne, who are known as the world's most renowned doctors in inflammatory bowel disease, and Professor Yvonne Romero from the Mayo Clinic, an expert in Barrett's esophagus, have been invited to deliver a speech.
The symposium is organized as four sessions. After the presentation, actual cases are shared followed by a panel discussion on problems by disease. Specific digestive diseases are intensively discussed.
