Massive sized 103.35 CTS Natural Prasiolite ( green amethyst) gemstone originating from Mozambique. This measures a whopping 37.9 x 24.5 x 17.1 mm and is cut into an oval shape.

This stone has a uniform and shimmering green coloring with a slight gold undertone. Lots of sparkle can be seen from its lusterous surface. This is a naturally earth mined gemstone and has been heat treated to enhance color.

Despite the stone being so large, it is almost completely clean. One or two very tiny dots of natural inclusion can be seen on the back of the stone, but is otherwise free of flaws. This can be considered eye clean and near flawless.

This would make a fantastic pendant, statement piece, or collectors item.

Amethyst is the purple/pink variety of Quartz. The green variety is known as prasiolite. It has been known as a desirable gem for thousands of years, admirers include but not limited to the ancient Greeks and Egyptians.

The word amethyst is dirived from the Greek word amethystos, which loosely translates to " intoxicate" as they believed it would prevent them from drunkenness. Throughout the ages amethyst was valued as highly as rubies and emeralds until huge deposits were found in Brazil in the 1800s, causing the price to drop worldwide.
