This is the 12th and final round of the 2009 Lucas Oil 250cc AMA Pro Motocross Championship from Steel City Raceway in Delmont, PA.
Returning contenders like Austin Stroupe, rookies Justin Barcia and SX Lites East champ Christophe Pourcel, SX Lites West champ Ryan Dungey, Trey Canard, Nico Izzi, Jake Weimer, Brett Metcalfe, South African transplant Tyla Rattray, England transplant Tommy Searle, Broc Tickle, Ryan Sipes and others battle it out for the 2009 Lucas Oil 250cc AMA Pro Motocross Championship. This is the rookie 250cc season of current Team Muscle Milk Honda's Justin Barcia. Ryan Dungey becomes the first Suzuki rider to win the 250cc Motocross Championship since Travis Pastrana in 2000 (when it was called the 125cc class).
