No Bread Flour, No Sugar, No Mayo
Lower calorie compared to regular burgers that still tastes good!
Ingredients:
● Fillet of beef [800 g = 30 oz]
● Onion
● Red and yellow tomatoes
● Bell pepper
● Mozzarella slices
● Salt / Pepper
Sauce:
● Tomatoes [400 g = 2 cups]
● Salt [1/2 tsp]
● Paprika [1/4 tsp]
● Nutmeg powder [1/4 tsp]
● Clove
● Cinnamon [1/4 tsp]
● Mustard [1/4 tsp]
● Distilled white vinegar 3% [1/3 tbsp]
Whole wheat buns:
● Dry yeast [1 tsp]
● Whole grain flour [250 g = 2 cups]
● Salt [1/2 tsp]
● Stevia [1/3 tbsp]
● Oil [1 tbsp]
● Water [150 ml = 2/3 cup]
Step by Step Recipe:
1. Chop and grind meat
2. Make flat burger shapes
Burger sauce:
1. Grind tomatoes
2. Rub the tomato mixture through a sieve
3. Cook on low, uncovered, until mixture is reduced by half and thick ≈ 30 minutes
4. Add salt, paprika, nutmeg powder, clove, cinnamon, mustard and vinegar. Mix well and cook it on low heat for 10 more minutes
Burger buns:
1. Mix dry yeast, whole grain flour, salt, stevia, oil and water. Knead the dough
2. Divide the dough into equal parts
3. Bake 15 minutes at 190 °C / 375 °F
