The 5 Paise coin of 1967 to 1971 was released in Aluminium-Magnesium instead of Copper Nickel from Bombay, Calcutta and Hyderabad Mints. 

The coins were made of Aluminium-Magnesium weighing 1.5 grams with 22 mm diameter and quadrangular in shape.

On the Obverse, Ashoka Lion Capital with lettering भारत INDIA. At the reverse, Denomination and Date with lettering रुपये का बीसवाँ भाग and पाँच पैसे.

The 1969 Bombay Mint coin is considered as rare with valued approx Rs 250 to Rs 300. The 1970 coins from all the mints are scare and valued approx Rs 50 to Rs 75. All other  coins are common and valued approx Rs 15 to Rs 20.
