According to reports, many IndiGo flights across the country were flying late due to unavailability of personnel. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is closely monitoring the low-cost airlines IndiGo for major air delays across the country and sought clarification from aviation authorities in this regard. More than half of the flights used by IndiGo were delayed on Saturday after scores of airline employees did not arrive at work. Sources said they might have gone for a job interview but reported being ill at the last minute, putting the airline's operations at risk. The airline operates its flight for about 14 hours a day and delays in the first flight have a detrimental effect on the entire network.
