Oi Oi! Welcome back to another episode of Full-On Fly Fishing. This time, we’re doing something a little different. Instead of my usual river or lake fishing, we’re heading deep-sea fishing, 10 to 20 miles off the stunning coastline of Cornwall. This episode is absolutely wild compared to my usual fishing trips!
We launched Dale Turner’s boat, “The Peeping Tom,” from Mylor Yacht Club. I met Dale at the local pub a few months ago. Over a cold pint after work, we quickly bonded over our shared passion for angling, sharing the usual big fish photos and before I knew it, I was roped into trying deep-sea fishing with him. And what an experience it turned out to be!
Day one kicked off with plenty of big, angry blue sharks. On day two, we switched things up, trolling huge lures in search of the elusive thresher shark. If you stick around until the end of this video, you’ll witness something truly special. We hooked into the biggest, most powerful fish I’ve ever seen – a giant Atlantic bluefin tuna, weighing in around 600 pounds!
So stay tuned, because this episode is absolutely WILD!
