An electric power tongue jack is a common feature on travel trailers. The power tongue jack allows you to heighten or lower the tongue of your camper when you are hooking up to your tow vehicle. The electric tongue jack can be operated from 12 volt battery power and from your 7-way connection to your tow vehicle.
There is a manual override in the event that your electric tongue jack loses power. Most campers come with a crank that can be inserted into the top or into the side of the tongue jack. Cranking the jack will allow you to heighten and lower your camper so you can hook up to your vehicle.
