This airgun is awesome and it's a good one to put in the show. It represents state of the art development in PCPs. The FX Crown Mk II completed my testing over two weeks of hard shooting and impressed me in every respect. This is a HIGH power top end air rifle that you'll learn about here. I review this to perhaps save you some money: instead of buying several lower end guns and eventually ending up with THIS one, maybe get a "Crown" right off the bat. You will shoot it a lot more than any AR15 you own and it will provide great enjoyment.
I'll show lots of in field and range testing with the FX Crown Mk 2. It was an enjoyable testing process and the gun is fun to shoot. This version incorporates improvements that are covered and the company constantly improves their guns (just like KTM motorcycles). This Crown Mk II model has my preferred RIFLE setup and produces plenty of power for pest and plastic boat killing (shown!). It includes a moderator and it's quiet. I was pushing out about 50 ft lbs with my chosen 26.6 gr diablo pellet. It's also a regulated airgun with a 28% larger plenum: expect more consistent velocity and lower SDs. It has an easy way to adjust hammer spring tension for power adjustments (explained). The also xlnt FX Impact M3 series is discussed; it has 2 regulators, more power, more versatility (slug shooting). That also is a rec'd gun but more expensive.
You might be impressed with the Crown's amazing accuracy also. It is the choice of airgun benchrest competitors. Many targets are shown including my cool new airgun/shepard hook steel targets I made. Add: The STX barrel system is not rifled the entire length, just at the end. FX has discovered this works better. It is supremely accurate and fouls less. My regulator pressure shown is not indicative of where it was tested at: 160 BAR. I chose a 600mm barrel in order to get more velocity. Vid incorrectly lists it as 700mm barrel btw. A longer barrel can produce more power at a lower pressure.
