The Golden Bears opened their first season as an ACC Member school with a 90-58 win over the Gaels. Cal shot 46.7% from three-point range and made 14 threes. Lulu Twidale led California with 24 points on 6-10 shooting, going 5-8 from behind the arc. Marta Suarez had 17 points and eight rebounds. Ugonne Onyiah added 11 points, five rebounds, four blocks, three steals, and two assists.
