We talk a lot about "good snakes" eating other snakes and all, but when you come across the process it is rather gruesome and unsettling. On our evening hike today we came upon a Ring-necked snake eating a King snake. When we arrived on the scene the ring-neck was biting the king and neither were moving. After several minutes the ring-neck let go and the video takes it from there. Ring-neck snakes have venom in the back of their mouths which subdues their prey which includes other snakes.
