In any given musky season nearly half of my total catch will come with just one foot of line out at boatside. Yes, literally 50% or more of the muskies I catch each season hit in the figure-8 and these might even be some of the biggest muskies of the year! Surprisingly, given the importance of this age-old technique, many folks that I encounter in the guiding business still struggle to get the fundamental technique and ideology behind the figure-8 correct. And unfortunately this seems to be, the majority of the time, why clients are struggling to catch muskies. I hear it just far too often so I decided to put a short video together to discuss the correct figure-8 tactics that will help you score on more muskies.

In this video it will almost be like you are in my boat on a guided trip as I explain the important tactics that I employ to not only trigger muskies at boatside, but also how I fight them so that I am holding them up in front of the camera.
