This video contains three matches I had with the recently released Unicorn Gundam [Awakened] on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 700 cost raid with excellent mobility, theoretically very high DPS if you get the chance to use the limiter released gatling gun, access to a shield funnel barrier that can block stuns, great defensive buffers, very high downswing power alongside having both Counter Boost and Raise Counter. It has many weaknesses though, such as the melee having horribly short reach, the downswing at times missing knocked over enemies, short range on all of its ranged weapons, only one instant stagger alongside the funnel gatling gun having a tendency to shoot into walls rather than the enemy. I have been waiting for this suit for a long time, I think it is very fun, but at the same time not really that strong at all. I hope that you enjoy watching!
Its primary weapon is a beam magnum with 3600 power, 5 ammo, 300m range, 5 seconds cooldown, 14 seconds reload, 0.8 seconds focus time and 20% stagger value. This has shorter range than the original beam magnum, but it has splash radius like a bazooka does.
Its primary melee weapon is the suits bare hands with 2800 power, 2 seconds cooldown, 0.33 seconds swap time, 2.5 seconds focus time, 100% side swing modifier, 100%x3 downswing modifier, 80%/64% combo modifier and 240%x2 heavy attack modifier. On paper this weapon seemingly has absolutely broken performance, but the swings have incredibly short reach. The heavy attack doesn't do that much damage, it also suffers from short reach.
Its first sub weapon is a head vulcan with 150 power, 40 ammo, 600 RPM, 11 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap, 200m range, 1500 DPS and 6% stagger value. These have good DPS and stun potential for vulcans, staggering in just 1.7 seconds.
Its second sub weapon is a beam gatling gun with 350 (380) power, 5% (0%) heat, 512 RPM, 10 (30) seconds overheat, 0.5 seconds swap time, 275m (?m) range, 4% (8%) stagger value and 2987 (3243) DPS. This has incredible DPS, making it very useful for following up with after your stuns. If the heat gauge is full, you can press the reload button to enter limiter release mode, it must stop to fire in this mode but it deals more damage and can pierce. It has poor stagger value normally but it can very easily stagger once the limiter has been released.
Its third sub weapon is a shield funnel barrier with 100% heat, 22 seconds overheat time and 0.5 seconds swap time. These are apparently bugged right now, so they don't defend against melee attacks immediately after being activated, but they can block all stuns and damage from attacks until they take enough damage.
Its third sub weapon is a funnel shield gatling gun with 200x15x2 power, 95%x2 heat, 22 seconds overheat, 0.5 seconds swap time, 250m range and 5%x15x2 stagger value. On paper these are incredible, being able to deal 6000 damage and 150% stagger accumulation. However, they have short range, they overheat after one use and they have a tendency to get stuck around walls or other obstacles.
Its fourth sub weapon is a pair of auto attack shield funnels with 700x7x2 power, 22 seconds overheat, 0.5 seconds swap time, 100m range and 15%x7x2 stagger value. Using this deploys two shield funnels above you for 10 seconds, during this time they will automatically ram into enemies within 100m range. While using this weapon, you cannot use your shield gatling gun or funnel barrier.
The Awakened Unicorn has 24000 HP, 24 ballistic resist, 30 beam resist and 24 melee resist. It has seemingly below average durability for a 700 cost raid at first, but it has a 35% damage reduction buffer for the legs, and a 30% damage reduction buffer for the shield gatling guns (with an extra 30% reduction and instant stun resist against beam attacks). It has LV3 Emergency Evasion and LV4 Maneuver Armor for defensive skills.
In terms of mobility it has 140 walking speed, 235 boosting speed, 75 thrust and 84 turning speed. It is pretty fast and small, so it is easy to handle. It has LV4 Flight Control, LV4 Forced Injectors and LV2 Optimized Cooling Efficiency for mobility related skills.
It also has a unique skill called Awaken Ability Boost (B). Once you fall to 50% HP, you recover 2000 HP, allies recover HP based on their remaining HP (at least 1000), you use about 50% less thrust, you get 15 more melee/ranged modifier, you boost faster and your melee attacks deal more damage based off how much HP the enemy has. The effect expires after 60 seconds.
In conclusion, I think that the Awakened Unicorn is fun, but not strong. It has too many weaknesses, without enough benefits to make up for it. I think its fine to use Enhanced ZZ or Banshee instead, most 700 LV1 raids are stronger. I can see this suit getting buffed within 3 months. Thanks for watching, and I hope that you enjoyed it!!
