Dr Susanne Becken leads the presentation of Projects 2.3.2 and 3.2.3 at the NESP Science Day in Townsville on November 20.
This is one of the Tropical Water Quality Hub's most fascinating, innovative projects and deals with analyzing vast quantities of social media posts using machine-learning Big Data techniques to determine perceptions of environmental conditions on the Great Barrier Reef. It also includes developments in eye-tracking and image-recognition software.
