✂️Top 3 Tips for Sewing with Sequin Fabric 🙏

Before you run for the hills we urge you to have an open mind about this fabulous fabric! It shouldn’t be reserved for the pros with industrials machines because with a bit of guidance anyone can work with this show stopping stuff!

1. Choose a fabric with a low sequin coverage such as our metallic black and gold sequin fabric. Lower the coverage the easier it is to sew and the less likely you are to break a needle! 🙋‍♀️
2. Use bias binding on any internal seams or this garment will assault you! Seriously sequins can be so jaggy! 🧐
3. Choose a nice simple pattern and let the fabric do the talking! I’m sewing a sparkly Saltwater Slip dress here. Shift dresses and simple tops work great too. Avoid zips and complex fastenings for your first few sequin projects!🤞🏻

Bonus tip - you might want to change to a denim needle if you keep snapping the regular ones! 💡
