9th Regiment, Royal Australian Artillery (RAA) is a Direct Command unit of the Second Division. It provides Joint Fires Coordination, Offensive Support Fires, Joint Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance Teams, and Unmanned Aerial Systems.
With six subunits located across the country, the many capabilities of 9 Regiment RAA include ceremonial support and assistance to civil authorities such as during the recent Operation Bushfire Assist 2020, Op Flood Assist 2020, Op COVID Assist 2020/21, as well as Australia’s border security on Op Resolute. As the capability of the Royal Australian Artillery evolves so too will 9 Regiment RAA in meeting the needs of Army, the ADF, and the nation.
