Triund and Ilaka combined is a 2-day trek from Mcleodganj and Dharamshala. The trek to Triund is fairly easy compared to other treks and first timers can do this trek (if unsure do take a guide). However, if an onward trek to Ilaka is being considered we would advice being escorted by a guide, as the path is a little treacherous in some spots. We had a few experienced trekkers and a few novices but the hotel advised us to hire a guide for the journey and so we did.
