Closing out the Saturday airshow were Pensacola's own @USNavy @USNavyBlueAngels, who flew their FINAL demonstration of the 2024 season. The Blue Angels took the stage approximately 15-20 minutes after the Thunderbirds (@afthunderbirds) completed their final public display with a fantastic high show, and the Blues followed up with the same thing - one more AMAZING high show performance.

Let's talk about this particular video. For many, the Homecoming airshow is a special event with many members of the team moving on and back into the Fleet. I took a special request from a few friends who requested to see more of LCDR Amanda "Stalin" Lee in the video and based where I was filming all day, I was able to easily fulfill that request.

Airshow announcer Rob Reider, who on that day announced his FINAL airshow of his career, proudly introduced the Blue Angels with a speech that is much like how he has always introduced the Blue Angels time and time again. What the team does on their final show is special, letting next year's #7 do the narration and hand it off, which you will clearly see in this video. What you don't see in this video is Rob Reider getting a send-off from both the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds; my friend Jeff Lee from @LiveAirShowTV was able to record that ([ Ссылка ]).

Fat Albert, the support C-130J Super Hercules, flew the last demonstration of 2024 with a spectacular photo pass and an even more spectacular low altitude high speed pass. After the all-Marine crew landed, they were greeted to a water cannon salute at about the 14:00 minute mark, as it is Major Josh Soltan's last flight with the team. The six demonstration pilots took the time to salute the Fat Albert crew before their walk down to their respective Super Hornets, to the tune of a very familiar piece if you're a pop music and movie fan.

References to this being the final airshow of the year are also scattered throughout the video and I even took the time to film the entirety of the demo. I want you to also listen to how LT Connor O'Donnell introduces the six demonstration pilots for the last time at the 1:20:00 mark; I guarantee it will make you laugh as it is one of the hallmarks of the final demonstration of the year.

The 2024 Blue Angels Homecoming Airshow took place on November 1-2, 2024 at Naval Air Station Pensacola (KNPA). This year's Homecoming Airshow is special as it is the first time both the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds appeared at NAS Pensacola and it is also the final airshow for veteran airshow announcer Rob Reider.
