Luhansk governor Serhiy Haidai claims that Russian forces now control 80% of the region. Haidai said that Russian troops have seized the town of Kreminna and are threatening Rubizhne and Popasna. Meanwhile, Zelensky said Kyiv is working with allies to make sure Russia feels the "pain" of sanctions. Mykhail Podoliak offered himself for "a special round of negotiations" with Russians in Mariupol to save Ukrainians trapped there. Meanwhile, UK PM Boris Johnson said dealing with Russia's President Putin was like bargaining with a "crocodile”.
