Prayer to Saint Stephen, Protomartyr
O glorious Saint Stephen,
First among the martyrs of Christ,
You bore witness to the truth of the Gospel
With courage, love, and unwavering faith.
Through your example, you showed us how to forgive,
Even in the face of cruelty and persecution,
As you echoed the Lord’s words,
“Lord, do not hold this sin against them.”
Intercede for us, dear saint,
That we may have the strength to stand firm in our faith
And the grace to love and forgive our enemies.
Help us to be bold witnesses of Christ in our daily lives,
Sharing His truth with charity and humility.
Guide us to embrace the challenges of our faith
With the same joy and conviction you displayed,
And grant us the courage to live as true disciples of Jesus.
Saint Stephen, pray for us,
That we may one day join you in the eternal glory of heaven.
Amen.
