The United Nations Secretary-General has called for increasing efforts to harness the full potential of trade and industrialisation in Africa, in order to advance sustainable, inclusive growth. He has addressed the UN Africa Dialogue Series ahead of Africa Day celebrations around the world.
At the event focused on unlocking 'Industrialisation through Intra-Africa Trade', Antonio Guterres, called the African Continental Free Trade Area a future engine of growth which could lift 50 million people out of extreme poverty, and reduce income inequalities.
