Here's a hidden feature in Illustrator which plays a pretty important rule in designing because when you would like to create some design in a silhouette form then this feature simplifies the whole process and it's more accessibly then doing the whole thing manually. It works the same way as the Clipping Mask, matter affect it is a clipping mask function that has more flexibility.
