Moist Orange Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
3 large eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
Zest of 1 orange
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions:
1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 9-inch (23 cm) round cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar and eggs until light and fluffy. Add the vegetable oil, orange juice, and orange zest, and mix until well combined.
3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
4. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
5. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan. Bake for about 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
6. Cool and Serve: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
