TEMPERATURES TO BLOSSOM THRU FRIDAY
The official start of Spring (11:57am) we'll see our weather rebound nicely after the gray, damp and wind chilly conditions of yesterday. Weak ridge of high pressure sitting right on top of us will provide the brighter skies in our forecast today along with even lighter winds. After starting off with chilly 20s this morning, temperatures will recover nicely with afternoon highs climbing into the 50s!
Upper winds become even more zonal by Friday and combined with surface winds coming out of the southeast, temperatures should be well into the 50s with some hometowns flirting around the 60 degree mark!
These springlike conditions will be put aside this weekend as a clipper dives out of Canada bringing noticeably colder weather across the area. Temperatures will likely not get out of the 30s for many hometowns this weekend as well as the first couple of days of the brand new week. The pattern looks quite dry during this period with the exception of a wave that may carry some light snow showers late Monday night before departing Tuesday morning.
Afterwards, temperatures show signs of warming in the days to follow, though a bit on the wet side.
