Today, just as it did 100 years ago, Valrhona is thinking about the sector’s future, putting the fight against deforestation, #traceability and terroirs’ preservation at the heart of our work.
What is the approach? Commitment. What is it driving towards? Chocolates with increasingly ethical credentials.
Thanks to this commitment, Valrhona is a member of the “Cocoa and Forests” Initiative which combats #deforestation. Together, we are leading numerous projects to develop a more sustainable way of growing cocoa.
We are also committed to our cocoa’s traceability: 100% of the beans that we buy worldwide are traceable right back to our producers. 100 percent! We have the guarantee of knowing where the cocoa comes from, who harvested it and the good conditions used to harvest it.
Today, Valrhona is inviting everyone in the industry to get involved by supporting the French Initiative for Sustainable Cocoa. What’s our objective? To put an end to all supplies from deforested land by 2025.
Today. Tomorrow. And for the next 100 years, Valrhona will continue to build cocoa’s sustainable future.
