The Polestar 2 does not have Android Auto. It has Apple carplay and it is based on the Android automotive operating system.
Please note that currently Polestar is advertising, on their app and on their website, that Android Auto works in Polestar 2s. This is misleading as the release (P3.3.16) is only available to a tiny number of Polestar 2 drivers as a sort of a beta test.
The messaging is 100% misleading and is legally tenuous. I have escalated this to Polestar who in turn have escalated it to their head office.
In addition, the advertised release version is generally two versions ahead of what is available to the general public. Therefore, not only do you not get Android auto as of today, but you don't get any of the features in that release or the previous release.
