One of my childhood memories is when my mom made Chebureki. Crispy on the outside, filled with cheese or juicy meat or cherries. Every time I make them, it brings me back in time.
Today, I want to share with you one of the best recipes I’ve ever made.
Ingredients:
- Flour: 450 g
- Salt: 9 g
- Sugar: 20 g
- Boiling water: 225 ml
- Neutral oil: 3 tbsp
- Mozzarella cheese for filling
Instructions:
1. Knead the dough until smooth, cover, and let it rest for 1 hour.
2. Divide the dough into 6 portions.
3. Roll each portion very thin, fill with shredded cheese, and shape as shown in the video. If you’d like to get the puffy effect, blow one side with a straw.
4. Preheat oil to 350°F, fry each cheburek on each side until light golden brown.
5. Remove from oil onto a paper towel to remove excess oil.
