Speaking at the 2024 ACC Basketball Tipoff press conference, Pitt head basketball coach Jeff Capel was asked about the ACC being undervalued in the national scene. Capel gave a thoughtful answer, agreeing to the notion and pointing out the successes that the ACC has seen in recent years despite getting the deserved number of bids into the NCAA Tournament. The 7th-year head coach offered a couple of suggestions on how to possibly change that narrative, including other coaches in the league taking a minute to talk about the good things that other teams around the conference are doing.
