When Mary Bailey suddenly went into Cardiogenic Shock, a condition in which your heart suddenly can't pump enough blood to meet your body's needs, her life flashed before her eyes.

Luckily, she was saved by #TCAVI's Dr. Ilie Barb and his cardiovascular team, who performed a minimally-invasive procedure with the insertion of the world's smallest heart pump. Fortunately for Mary, TCAVI is one of two sites in the state of Florida participating in a national heart initiative attempting to improve survival rates from 50% to 80%.
