Ch. 15. Pause times

The high-performance MELAtherm 10 Evolution washer-disinfector cleans and disinfects without interruption. The MELAtherm 10 Evolution tutorial shows you what to do during an operating pause.
Should the washer disinfector not be used for two days or longer, start the Rinse-Program twice before instrument decontamination. In ophthalmology clinics with the corresponding instruments, we recommend the start of the Ophthalmo-Program instead.

Given a pause time of over 2 weeks, prepare the washer-disinfector as in the following way: Place the suction lances in a bucket with water and start the air-removal program.

You can then replace the suction lances in the washer disinfector. Please check that the washing chamber is dry and switch off the power and water supplies.

Recommission the washer disinfector after an operating pause by starting the air-removal program and the disinfection program (e.g. a Universal-Program) without instruments.
