The Congress government in Karnataka has accused the former BJP government of a scam related to the COVID pandemic. An SIT has been formed to probe alleged irregularities in equipment procurement during the pandemic. The SIT was formed based on an interim report submitted to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah by a Judicial Commission. The report alleges irregularities of over 7,000 crore rupees and recovery of 500 crore rupees.
