The Ex-Staff of the Presidential Air Fleet (PAF) lamented over the non- settlement of their benefits as they pleaded with the Ordinary President to help them recover the sum of Twenty-Two Billion, Two Hundred Million Naira only as the remaining fifty percent benefits to be settled.
The Ordinary President recovered the sum of Twenty -Two Billion, Six Hundred Thousand Naira only during his first intervention on the matter. The payment was supervised by the Presidential Initiative for Continuous Assessment.
The major challenge of these Ex-Staff was that, their names were removed from the list of those that were entitled to the second half of the settlement. They presented their letters with bank statements and vouchers as proof to the Presidency and Federal Ministry of Aviation stating that only fifty percent was paid to them, yet, all effort proved abortive.
It is very pathetic to see that staffs who put their lives on the line and served five different Heads of State/Presidents, have been unappreciated. They protected the lives of these Heads of State/Presidents, ensured their safety, kept and controlled all the technical record of the aircrafts in the fleet, yet were denied their rights.
The Ordinary President, Voice of the Voiceless, having placed a call to the EFCC Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa who was unavailable, promised to recovered their remaining money.
