Every Year pro athletes and families join and participate in the run. A great run charity event aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles.

A runner has died while taking part in the Bupa Great Birmingham Run, in which 18,000 people participated, with the number risen from 15,000 last year.

This was a very success run and tragedy took its place. The organizers, are sad to inform you that an individual has lost their life today at the Great Birmingham Run.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the person concerned. Please understand we must ensure that the next of kin are informed before any further comment is made.
