The Coming Virtual World - And How We Get There

In this episode I'm joined once again by Dr Christof Niederwieser for the second in a two-part series on the Kondratiev Cycle and its astrological nature. We explore the Astro-Kondratiev Cycle, Christof's astrological modification of the famous Kondratiev Wave, a theory in macroeconomics that posits that the world economy follows a roughly 50-year cycle of growth and decline driven by different technologies. This cycle is really based on the Pluto-Uranus synodic cycle.

We explore what the next cycle beginning in the 2040s has in store - a seamless merging of the physical and virtual worlds. And we explore the trends we're likely to see from now until then, during the declining phase of the current cycle of information technology.
