The entire coastal belt of Andhra Pradesh and the southern region of the state called Rayalaseema, are shut today because of a bandh to protest against the announcement in Delhi last evening for a new Telangana state. Schools are closed, buses are off the roads and the Andhra Pradesh Congress faces the threat of a split.
