The original 21700 cells were used in this build. The original battery pack would no longer charge and would display a red light on the charger upon mounting. This was most likely due to a faulty BMS. The battery itself would flash two green lights of each side, alternating between them.

I can confirm the kit worked on a Makita product. It’s only a matter of a stress test for endurance.

12/02/24 Update; so far the kit works good, not great. It will overheat after heavy use and full drain. You have to wait until it cools before charging and reusing. Overall a good kit for light to medium use. Heavy use, buy two.
