Captain Brian Sanders has been guiding the back country waters of Chokloskee, FL for over 25 years. Our friendship dates back to the early years of our Pompano Beach Saltwater Circuit when he fished together with Captain Casey Hunt and many other good friends on board the well known Get Sum boat. Lucky enough for their fellow competitors, they retired from the tournament circuit many years ago. They were a force to be reckoned with and had many wins during their tournament career including a Showdown Crown championship.

One of my most memorable days of fishing was together with Brian Sanders and Art Sapp over 20 years ago fishing together out of Everglades City in Chokoloskee. You name it, we caught it. Cobia, snook, permit, trout, redfish and more. Fishing in Chokoloskee has gotten tougher in recent years with freshwater intrusion, rising water temps, shark predation and other factors.
