Revisit the Award Ceremony of the 2nd edition of the BIAL Award in Biomedicine in this 4:27 minute video. The BIAL Award in Biomedicine 2021 distinguished Drew Weissman and 36 other co-authors, researchers from the Universities of Pennsylvania, Duke and Kansas State (USA), Harvard Medical School (USA), National Institutes of Health (USA), Bioqual Inc. (USA), Acuitas Therapeutics (Canada) and BioNTech RNA Pharmaceuticals (Germany) at the time of publication of the award-winning work. Titled “Zika virus protection by a single low-dose nucleoside-modified mRNA vaccination”, the winning paper was published in Nature in 2017. The ceremony took place on February 18, 2022, at the Rectory of the University of Lisbon. The BIAL Award in Biomedicine is an initiative of the BIAL Foundation.
