On the PGA Tour, most par 5s are green-light holes, where the pros simply hit their drives as far as they can in order to give themselves as short a second shot as possible. At the Pete Dye-designed Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass, however, the par 5s demand more a thoughtful style of play. Garrett Morrison explains the design features that make Nos. 2, 9, 11, and 16 among the most subtle and compelling holes at the Players Championship venue.
