"First of all we need to determine if the extradition request has been filed at all and if we can satisfy it. He needs to be taken to an investigating judge who then determines remand until the court's decision."

STORYLINE:
A 12-year-old British girl flew home to her distraught parents on Wednesday as the former U.S. Marine she ran off with four days ago was arrested in Germany on charges of abduction.
A spokeswoman for Germany's Federal Criminal Office confirmed that 31 year old Toby Studabaker was arrested in Frankfurt at the request of British authorities.
He was arrested by German police for alleged abduction under an international warrant in Frankfurt on Wednesday afternoon, after contacting the FBI.
The British police have said they would like to get Studabaker extradited to the UK to stand trial there.
Frankfurt investigating judge Clemens Becker said extradition processes can drag on for months, especially if the accused fights the extradition bid.
