Today I'm going to be making BRAISED PORK AND POTATOES.
My grandmother used to make Braised pork quite often, she was from Amami island, Where is close to Okinawa and the food culture is similar.
The Okinawa diet is famous for its large consumption of PORK and vegetables.
My grandma would add daikon or potatoes to serve her large family. This is my version of the recipe, and now it’s my family's favorite.
300g pork shoulder or belly
300g potatoes
5 large eggs
30g ginger
green part of long green onion ※optional
1 tbs sugar
3 tbs Sake
1 tbs Mirin
11/2 tbs regular soy sauce
water
