The River of Life is one of Kuala Lumpur's most famous landmarks. It is situated near Masjid Jamek Sultan Abdul Samad, the city's oldest mosque, at the confluence of two rivers: the Klang and the Gombak. The Klang River, often known as Sungai Klang by locals, flows through Kuala Lumpur and Selangor before entering the Malacca Straits. Another prominent river in the Klang Valley is the Gombak River. The River of Life, which began as an expensive urban river rehabilitation project, has been named one of the top ten most beautiful waterfronts in the world!
