Caleb Savant, our helpful Brownells Firearm Support Technician, demonstrates the ultra-handy AR-15 Reaction Block from Geissele Automatics. You probably recognize Geissele as the maker of extremely precise triggers for AR-15 rifles, but they also produce many other excellent products. Their Reaction Block is used to securely clamp an AR-15 lower receiver in a bench vise by the receiver extension (aka "buffer tube") so you can work on it. Machined from billet aluminum, the Reaction Block is the definition of "rock solid." Finger-tightening the three non-marring polymer setscrews locks the receiver extension into the block in one of three positions for easy access to work on the trigger, magazine release, bolt release, safety selector, detents, triggerguard - even locking down the bare receiver extension to clean up boogered threads with a die. NOTE: The Reaction Block works ONLY with mil-spec 1.14' O.D. receiver extensions.
