Two people were rescued by firefighters from the fourth floor of a multi-unit South Side apartment building that caught fire early Thursday morning. Chicago Fire Department officials said around 5:45 a.m. that the fire had been extinguished in the building, located in the 7800 block of South Shore Drive, and that nobody had been transported to the hospital.
